Spencer chose to do his language arts homework first. He completed sentences using vocabulary words. As soon as he completed the vocabulary activity, Spencer began his math homework. The assignment was to add and subtract money using decimal points and dollar signs. He benefited from reminders to include a decimal point in his answer, however he completed all computation with confidence. Spencer straightened his room and took care of the hermit crab without being reminded or prompted.
Tristan completed homework such as math - adding mixed numbers with and without grouping. Tristan mastered adding mixed numbers without grouping but still needs practice with adding mixed numbers with grouping. Tristan also decorated cupcakes.

Tristan seemed to be frustrated when learning how to add mixed numbers with regrouping.
Spencer chose words from the word bank that were synonyms for the underlined words in sentences. He confidently and quickly solved 4-digit subtraction problems that required regrouping in the ones, tens, hundreds and/or thousands place. Spencer shows a lot of responsibility and care for his hermit crabs. At the end of each day he transfers their living space and makes sure they have enough food.

Tristan completed homework such as math - minute 19 working on fractions, even/odd, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and expanded form; language arts - practicing sight words with a word search.
Matthew worked on completing his homework assignment for Honors English II due on Tuesday, which included answering questions from chapters 18-24 of Great Expectations.
Spencer completed a graphic organizer on plot elements of a story he read earlier in the day. He benefited from reminders to use end punctuation. Spencer practiced multiplying one-digit numbers by multiples of thousands. Spencer is very diligent about taking care of his hermit crabs. He changes their tanks and gives them fresh food without being reminded.

Spencer was frustrated when attempting to multiply one-digit numbers by multiples of tens and hundreds. He was confusing adding and multiplying. He threw his pencil three different times in frustration. Once he stopped adding the numbers and remembered he had the times tables to refer to on his bulletin board, he settled down and finished the assignment independently.
Tristan completed homework such as, math - adding mixed numbers, after I modeled two problems and language arts - contractions, cutting and pasting two words that make up each contraction and writing it on the line. Tristan did excellently completing his homework today, mastering both topics.
