We reviewed two short folktales that Spencer had read previously. He was tasked with completing a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the two stories. Spencer did well using estimation to check his answers to 3-digit addition and subtraction problems with regrouping.

Tristan completed homework such as language arts - vocabulary practice, completing the sentences and matching the picture with the correct vocabulary word and math - quadrilaterals, identifying the quadrilaterals being shown; summer activity sheet - practicing multiplication and division.

What a huge improvement from this morning to this afternoon. Tristan completed all of his homework and was very kind.
Tristan completed homework such as math - a summer sheet, practicing skip counting, subtraction, multiplication, and the value of digits ; language arts - practicing contractions with a contraction game.
Parts of speech were reviewed. Spencer enjoyed filling in the blanks in a passage using the part of speech specified. He made a silly story which amused him. Spencer worked on 2-3 step word problems involving addition and/or subtraction.
Tristan completed homework such as - math - summer sheet, practicing multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction; language arts - contractions.

Tristan was off-task at the beginning of our session, after basketball. However, he ended well.
Spencer practiced solving word problems by determining the relevant infomation, identifying what operation is needed and completing the necessary computation(s). He enjoyed using an online supplemental program to practice determining the main idea, matching words with pictures and identifying the word that matches the given definition. Without being asked, Spencer cleaned up and organized his work space.
Matthew started our session by answering questions from his study guide about Chapter 25 of Great Expectations.
He then moved to working on business work. He shared his screen as he worked on questions from the text. He quickly had arrived to a point in the questions that for which he had not read the material yet. So, we switched to reading.
He was able to just barely finish answering all of the text questions prior to leaving for the day.
