Tristan completed homework such as, math - benchmark fractions - comparing each fraction to 1/2, filling >,<, or =. This topic was difficult for Tristan. We practiced using a number line and shading parts; language arts - skill sheet - reading a sentence and selecting the correct meaning and part of speech and searching for sight words such as each, have, said, and how. Tristan also completed a sight word word search and did excellently.

Tristan has improved with his focusing. However, today he lacked a little. I enjoy playing basketball with him. I feel like it boosts his confidence and it also encourages him to be focused on his homework when we come back into his office to complete his homework.
Spencer was tasked with reading a passage and then locating answers to questions about the story in the text. Sight words were reviewed and identified in the story. Spencer practiced the steps needed to use mental math to solve 3-digit addition and/or subtraction problems.

Cabo arrived late to his study class.
Cabo needs to get his class assignments and handouts organized. I told him he needs to get his notebook organized and up to date by the next time we meet.
He will need a laptop in class shortly. His parents need to purchase one he can bring to school and take home for programming homework.
Matthew was given time to work on his Chemistry work.
He then was given time to work on his business work. He chose to read from the text and start answering questions.
We discussed his increase in efficiency with this classwork. We discussed how he can apply his new understanding of the momentum gain in a college class in the future.
Given words, Spencer was tasked with identifying the part of speech (noun, verb, adjective or adverb) and color coding the words accordingly. He practiced breaking numbers down to solve math problems using mental math.
Tristan completed homework such as math - equivalent fractions, dividing the numerator and denominator by the same factor; language arts - nouns and verbs sorting activity. Tristan used multiplication to solve his division problems. Tristan is doing excellently completing his homework. I am very proud of him!
