Tristan completed homework such as, math - three addition problems, practicing regrouping, identifying vowels & consonants, and completing a closed syllable cut & paste activity, identifying all of the vowels.

Time management and the advantages were discussed. After listening to a fairy tale, elements of fairy tale were discussed as they related to the story. Spencer wrote answers to recall, vocabulary and drawing conclusion questions about the text. He did well drawing pictures and writing sentences describing the beginning, middle and end of the fairytale. Spencer did well skip counting and adding sets of numbers and objects.

Spencer benefited from encouragement to work on his homework. He did well on a math assignment that involved writing the missing number in addition problems. Spencer confidently completed multiplication problems. He wrote all his spelling words and chose three words to write in a sentence. We played a game that involved replicating patterns.

Tristan completed for homework - math problems, rounding numbers; tracing and searching for short a words; and starting a science safety activity, reading scenarios and determining if they are safe or not. Tristan will complete this in future sessions.

Prioritizing tasks and time management continue to be areas of focus. Spencer confidently completed a closed syllable, short u activity. He worked hard on math problems involving place value, money and different forms of numbers.

Tristan practiced his spelling words for homework, writing them in his journal. He then completed math problems preparing him for his math test.

During Tristan's homework session, Tristan completed - comparing numbers, filling in greater than, less than, or equal to for math; tracing cursive letters 'i' and 'u' with a highlighter; identifying, tracing, and reading vowels and consonants; identifying short a and short i sounds; and completing day 1 of why do some plants have fruit, discussing vocabulary such as ovary, pollen, and pollination.

We talked about the need to get tasks done before one has free time. Spencer practiced cursive writing. Given a list of words, he was tasked with identifying the vowels, dividing the words by syllables and reading the words. Spencer completed a reading comprehension page. We will continue to work on the difference between the main idea and supporting details. Given monetary values, Spencer did well using coin manipulatives to illustrate the given monetary value.

Tristan and I spent our session with Tristian completing his homework - Tristan completed math with solving math problems focusing on money. He then completed highlighting the short e in his reading. Tristan then read aloud the paragraph with me observing how many words per minute.

Spencer benefited from encouragement to complete homework assignments. Given a series of compound words, he confidently identified the vowels, split the words into syllables and read the words. Plastic coins and paper bills were utilized to complete math homework involving determining the monetary value of a set of coins and comparing the value of two sets of coins. Spencer wrote about his favorite food (tacos) in complete sentences.
