Abby continues to not do any work outside of our sessions. I have repeatedly given her a list of things that MUST be done for the research paper, and she for some reasons refuses to do them. Today I found out that she has lost all of the research cards we put together, and consequently, her only work on the paper has been from a video she watched. I did as much as I could with her, given I had to go back and re-do all the research. She basically just sat there and waited for me to tell her what to write, or tried to get me to write it for her. I don't know what more I can do.

We only had an hour to work today, and Abbey continues to not do any work on her own. She still has not gotten a new copy of the book, or done any of the citation work I've been asking here to do for the last 3 weeks. The rough draft is due next Wednesday, and she is dragging her heels in the writing. Today it felt like she was making no effort at all, and simple wanted me to do the writing for her.

Abbey was very tired and lethargic from the start of our session. She did not do a single one of the tasks I had asked her to do last week, the most important of which was taking the outline in to her teacher the day BEFORE it was due, to ask for help and ensure she was on the right path. Consequently, when she did hand it in, she lost points because it was not in MLA format, which was nowhere in the assignment materials I had seen. She still has done no research, which makes writing a solid paper very difficult. She had to write one paragraph about HH's general biography, but she didn't know the material, and only gave it a mediocre effort. She MUST do the research I've asked her to do, or writing the paper will be very difficult. At this point, it is far more my paper than hers.

Abbey continues to put zero effort into this paper. She did not do anything I asked her to do over the last week (read the research, cite were each of the note cards came from), and did not even have all of the note cards with her today. We got through as much of the outline as possible, but I only have one hand out about it, and it does not go into detail on everything that is required for the assignment.She is clearly getting stressed out by this assignment, but more because i'm asking her to work on it, than it not being done. She doesn't seem to want to commit to doing the work necessary to complete the assignment properly.

Abbey again did not do any additional work over the weekend, and we had a big talk about her effort, and what she needs to do to improve. I told her flat out that I would not write this paper for her, but thus far, I've done all the research and work, which is not acceptable. We made a schedule for the work she will do this week in biology and english. She has work to do for both every night. We then completed the note cards on Howard Hughes and aviation, and talked about how all of this information ties into the bigger picture of what the paper is about. She needs to dedicate time every night to researching the book (her major source on her works cited list) and I am confident she can produce 10-12 more note cards from that. The outline is due next Wednesday, and it mush be done this week so we can work on that next Monday.
