I proctored the last few problems of Matthew's standardized test. We then did more review problems with secant segments and tangent segments. There was no assignment.

Matthew worked hard on the test and on the review problems.
I worked with Joshua to do some review questions on circles. We looked at problems involving tangents to circles and inscribed angles in circles. The Pythagorean Theorem was used extensively in tangent problems. There was no assignment.

Josh wasted most of the time for the session distracting himself. He avoids trying to do solve problems.
The plan was to do selected practice problems on the volumes of prisms, cones, and cylinders with Sam. For prisms and cylinders, we would use the cross section of the solid figure. In cones and pyramids, we would use the factor of one third. Unfortunately, Sam was not available either virtually or in person. There was no assignment.
I finished working with Joshua on practice problems with secants intersecting in or near circles. We then began reviewing the chapter highlights. There was no assignment.

Joshua continued wasting time during most of the session.
I administered the math section of the Pearson Standardized Test to Matthew. He started the test from where he had finished the previous session. I collected his answer sheet and materials at 3 minutes before the end of class. He had not finished at that time. There was no assignment.

Matthew worked hard the entire session. He had nearly completed the test at the time I had to collect his work.
I introduced the terms: faces, vertices, and edges to Sam in the context of three dimensional figures and Euler's Formula. We worked some sample problems and then I discussed cross sections solids of revolution. I also explained Cavalieri's Principle. There was no assignment.

Sam was able to grasp the various topics we covered very well. He had to leave 15 minutes early.
I continued to administer the math section of the Pearson Standardized Test to Joshua. He resumed his work from yesterday on the test. I collected his answer sheet and materials at 5 minutes before the end of class. He had still not finished at that time. There was no assignment.

Joshua was verbalizing his frustration with the test and seemed to be asking whether I approved of his answers or not. Since I did not comment on his discussion of the test, he decided to talk less toward the end of the session.

Matthew worked hard the entire session but did not finish the test.
The plan was to introduce Sam to three dimensional figures and cross sections. I was also going to show him how to use Euler's formula to calculate the number of faces, vertices, and edges of a figure if two of those quantities are known. Unfortunately, Sam was not available either in person or virtually. There was no assignment.

Sam was supposed to log on 'sometime' between 10 and 11 AM today. He did not.
