I administered the math section of the Pearson Standardized Test to Matthew. He took the practice test first and then started on the actual test. I collected his answer sheet and materials at 5 minutes before the end of class. He had not finished at that time. There was no assignment.
I administered my ten question test to Sam vitually. I allowed him to consult the textbook and he located the appropiate formulas and applied them correctly. He was able to work every problem correctly and received a perfect score of 100. There was no assignment.

Sam was very prepared and was able to figure out the information given in the provided diagrams. When I offered to start the next chapter with him, he declined, saying he had to do something with his father. He left the second session half an hour early.
I started the chapter review with Sam today. We worked on problems which provided radii and central angles and required both arc length and sector area in terms of pi. We also solved problems involving inscribed angles. There was no assignment.

Sam worked well and was faster than I was on several problems.
I proctored Joshua's standardized Pearson math test section. I collected and turned in his unfinished test at five minutes before the end of the session. There was no assignment.

It took a while for Joshua to settle down enough to quit distracting himself. We lost about fifteen minutes before he was ready to concentrate on his test. After starting, he seemed to be concentrating well.
I proctored the mathematics portion of the standardized test Sam was taking. Although time is unlimited on this test, Sam worked quickly and efficiently and finished the section about ten minutes before the end of the session. I returned his packet to the administrator and I spent the remaining time discussing the timeline for the remainder of the course with him. There was no assignment.

Sam will not be physically present in the school starting next week. He will be attending virtually prior to his operation and will be living in New York afterwards.
Practice problems about secants intersecting near or inside circles
Lesson Outline
I worked with Matthew to do some practice problems with secants intersecting in or near circles. There were problems requiring the lengths of missing segments as well as those asking for missing angles or arc lengths. We also worked problems covering the different cases of intersections either inside the circles or outside. There was no assignment.

Matthew is having difficulty with this section. I will be providing more problem solving exercises to help him practice the skills he needs to be successful.

Joshua continues to distract himself with puns, eating, and nearly falling in the classroom. He doesn't seem to be taking his student obligations seriously.
After doing some problems about inscribed angles with Joshua, I showed him how to calculate angles and chord lengths when secant lines intersect inside or outside of circles. I also showed him examples and we worked some problems together. I emphasized the specific aspects of each problem to focus on given the different cases and the different types of information required. There was no assignment.

During my first 60 minute session I was substituting for Bary.
Joshua was more attentive today but still keeps finding reasons to distract himself.
The plan was to finish doing problems about secant lines and segments and their relationships to circles. I was then going to lead Sam through some general review problems to summarize how angles and segment lengths are calculated in circles. Since Sam was not available for instruction either in person or virtually, I will need to re-present this lesson in the future. There was no assignment

Sam continues to miss major amounts of time which places an extra burdon on him to recall learning from previous lessons.

Matthewn has been somewhat distracted during his lessons lately. Since his image is always missing online, I am not always sure that he is paying attention.
