In this activity, Rory focused on solving both quadratic functions and rational functions. We also started our work simplifying radical expressions.

Rory and I continued our study of the book. We are annotating the book so that we can create the Venn diagram. Rory will prepare to take the Part 5 Quiz.

In this activity, Rory solved several different functions. These included rational, quadratic and linear equations.

Today, Rory spent his session session reading from his book "The Other Wes Moore."

In this activity, Rory solved quadratic equations by factoring and he also began his work of solving rational equations. Factoring and solving rational equations will be our focus for the next week.

Rory and I continued our study of the book. We read the text. We discussed the pages that we had read. We began discussing the creation of a Venn diagram. We are beginning to compare the author with the other Wes.

Rory was was introduced to KAWS, a sculptor, painter, and animator. After finishing the documentary we spoke about key points that led him to his current success. After the video was over I discussed a possible idea for Rory to do for his web page project. I gave him the idea of watching five of the Blueprint documentaries and creating his webpage around them. He agreed and I will provide him with documents to help him through the process.

Rory had read on his own. So we completed a brief comprehension check on Part 4 of the book. Rory did quite well. We then continued reading and annotating the text.

In this session, Rory was not feeling well so he took his assignment and went home.
