Lastly, we worked together to import a camouflage pattern into the fishing rod portion of his image. Dutch saved his work and closed out his file.

Dutch was resistant to take the practice test saying he was tired and asking me to bubble in the numbers for him. I told him that was an important part of the practice. He did the first two subtests.
Dutch read an article that compared and contrasted the hammerhead shark and the great white shark. He was encouraged to highlight similarities and differences as he read. He did well creating a Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting the two sharks. Dutch confidently answered questions about the text. He used the internet to verify some of the information in the article he questioned.
Dutch and I began our session with a discussion about fishing. I showed him pictures of fish that I and some friends caught. He identified all of the fish correctly, of course. He even tried identifying the boat correctly. We then watched a 'Generation Genius' video, "Predicting Natural Disasters". Dutch then questioned if anyone has ever gone through a water spout directly and what would occur if someone did. We discovered that a fisherman in the Florida Keys went directly through a waterspout. We watched the video of it. We observed that the men were not scared at all and in fact, were brave and excited. We then completed a 'Read Works' reading, "Preparing for a Disaster". We ended our session with watching tornado hunters.
