We worked on order types and technical analysis tools for actual stocks during our class today. We discussed market and limit orders along with shelf patterns in price charts.

Today we analyzed CGC stock (Canopy Growth Company) using fundamental analysis techniques learned in prior lessons. At about 31 times current annual sales, the stock appears expensive but growth rate may be very high depending upon legislation. We will be working on technical analysis tools through next week.

We worked on a few additional fundamental stock analysis concepts for stock valuation, and then discussed differences between fundamental and technical analysis.

We discussed valuation metrics including EPS, PE, and PEG ratios. We are using public companies and looking up actual data on real time data feed systems to value them.
