Today we discussed special dividends and their effect on option strikes and settlement prices. Then we worked on identifying chart patterns including head & shoulders, ascending and descending triangles, and cup with handle.

I showed Bobby some chart patterns including channels and inverted head and shoulders, as they were evolving on a chart for a stock. He was interested and followed the pricing signals.
We started learning about price chart patterns including how to identify them and how to trade stocks using them. We identified five major pattern types and will work through these during the next several sessions.
