Lucas worked on refining his clay reptile creation. He worked diligently and remained focused, adding spikes he formed out of clay onto the animal's spine. Lucas has a good imagination, direction, and vision. He added a detail on the tail as he worked today; he plans to bake and then paint it
Aiden warmed up today by working on sketches of various creatures. He identified some good references and then would work a specific part in successive stages.
We then worked on a project together. For this project, we drew a picture by taking turns and only drawing one continuous line at a time and not telling each other what we were working toward creating.
Aiden drew an impressive hand of possibly a zombie. It was easily the most detailed work that I have seen created by a single line in the time that I have been doing this exercise. I drew a far more rudimentary ankle and foot around which his hand was grasping.
We took turns back and forth. Afterwards, we discussed what was drawn and our thoughts during the process.
This was an interesting moment where we got to reflect on the communication that was happening through art instead of words during our project.
