Lesson Outline
Discussed how Germans greet each other and ask how they are, where they are from. Watched a short authentic German dialogue video clip with English subtitles showing German teenagers asking names and where each other is from etc. Practiced conversation and then played Hangman practicing spelling using the German alphabet.

Lesson went well. Missed the last 5-6 minutes because we became disconnected and I tried calling back but no answer.
Go over Questions from Video Homework - capital of Germany, countries bordering it etc., color map and label it. Watched short video a little more detail of brief introduction of German customs and information, Johannes Gutenberg - printing press etc. Intro of greetings and how to introduce yourself and spell your name. Verb heissen. Ice heisse. Wie heisst du? Mein Name ist... etc
Ben watched a 'YouTube' video learning about Europe and viewed a map on Europe - first, labeling and coloring the countries that border Germany, and then coloring the remainder countries. Ben answered ten questions in his notebook that were given after watching the video.

Sub. plans were provided on Microsoft Teams from Ms. Tanita. I printed out the printable Europe map that she provided for him to work on. Ben even chose to work through the fifteen minute break, I was impressed! Ben shared a picture of Japanese Garlic Fried Rice that he made yesterday with Ms. Misuzu - so sweet of him to share with me. :)
