This afternoon, we watched another video about Roberto Clemente. https://activistwebquest.weebly.com/roberto-clemente.html. Richard demonstrated good understanding of the material as he recalled new information in the book we are reading, We read Chapters 6-7 of 'Who was Roberto Clemente' and discussed interesting details and facts about his life. Richard then worked on 2 activity pages in his Phonics Language Workbook. He looked at two pictures and then made words by printing 'ed' or 'en' after the letters in each box. He also read the words out loud. Richard next read 'au' and 'aw' words out loud and printed the word that fit in each puzzle shown on the page. He also drew lines to make 'oi' words, read the words out loud and printed them. Richard finished up his fun Friday decorating his door with gauze to look like cobwebs in the spirit of Halloween.

I subbed for Dr. Val (Intensive Reading), from 2:57-2:49.
In her journal, Kaitlin began to write about her experience at the Ohio show. Kaitlin was excited to share her experiences and is proud of her performance - and her horse, Bamn Bam. She showed me several pictures of her and her horse during the competition and being awarded a trophy. Kaitlin has been encouraged to go for 'Rookie for the Year,' but she first has to qualify for it; it is in Oklahoma City in November; Kaitlin plans to go for it. Then we continued reading in the novel, Zlata's Diary, about a girl's life in Sarajevo about which she began writing when she was eleven years old. Kaitlin will resume her reading from the dairy in her next class.
