Hank is doing really well navigating around the computer. His speed has improved and confidence is growing as well. He intuitively knows how to get things done as he spends more time on different functions.
Today we worked on planning out traps where two pieces are being threatened at once. Hank quickly picked up the approach and was able to apply it in a live match
Today Hank built more skills navigating through Microsoft Office by creating an additional PowerPoint file. He typed in a title, changed the fonts, and selected a background style for the presentation. He also imported pictures of buildings and we uploaded the file to Teams.

Lesson Comments
Hank is showing good progress with basic computer skills and is developing an intuitive sense as to how things work as we move around. He appears to be accessing his Office 365 account from home and is gaining skills from there too.
I told Hank that I was much more aware of his plays as I began to counter them in the beginning of our match. I advised him to think of our last matches and what strategies I used against him. This worked out great and prolonged the match as we became more evenly matched by predicting the opponent's plays.
While Hank was hesitant at first, he quickly wanted to complete his paragraph assignment as soon as possible. He was given the opportunity to play chess with another student at the school if he finished his work in a timely manner.
Hank did a great job of wanting to produce a paragraph of good quality while still wanting to finish as soon as possible.
Once finished, Hank was permitted to play with the other student. He played two great games.
We continued to work on Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office 365 functions to build skills. Hank is importing pictures, creating PowerPoint documents and typing title pages.
