Kellan began a new unit on the Islands of the Oceania. He wrote down his new vocabulary words and their definitions. He played a match game with his States and Capitals.

Today, Kellan worked on adding and subtracting fractions. We checked his answers and he did very well. We also played Multiplication Wars.

Kellan completed the MAP Science test today.

Kellan dictated a story for me to type for him.

Kellan took his spelling test. He read Dog Man and discussed it.

Kellan and I did a review of the work that he completed to date. I had Kellan update his checklist, and he continued working on his book.

Kellan began with the daily review question on matching fractions to their equivalent whole numbers using models to represent each whole and completed a timed facts check. Then, Kellan worked on subtracting fractions with like denominators. He used number lines and the relationship between addition and subtraction to subtract fractions while working independently to complete the lesson's practice problems. For homework, Kellan was assigned problems on solving equations with all operations.

Kellan and I spent the class period playing pickleball with another student and teacher.
We played one on one and two on two games together.

Kellan read about the circulatory system. He summarized each paragraph in his own words. He drew a diagram of the human circulatory system.
