Kellan began with a warm-up question on determining whether products were even or odd before taking the final 11s fact check needed to mark as complete on his multiplication tracking chart. Then, he worked on a multiplication or division word problem activity before leaving early for lunch with his mom.
Today's warm-up questions were on solving multi-step and multi-operation word problems which Kellan and I completed together before Kellan took an 11s fact check. Then, we began working on a fraction review. Kellan matched fractions to models, wrote fractions to match fractions of sets, and matched numbers lines to given fractions. For homework, Kellan was assigned mixed problems with addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
Kellan is exploring the Maya, Inca, and Aztec Civilization, and learning about these advanced civilizations. He located on his maps where these civilizations developed. He is reviewing the Midwest states and capitals.
I introduce Kellan to crowdfunding services such as Kickstarter, Indigogo, and GoFundMe. I showed Kellan examples of successful projects. Kellan and I focused on creating a series of reward tears. Additionally, Kellan and I reviewed elements for creating a successful and profitable campaign. Kellan was given the remainder of the class to begin creating a poster as one of the rewards.
