Today's lesson with Kaitlin covered several key terms and concepts in the economic economy (agriculture) chapter and she was well focused and attentive. I had a planning discussion with Kaitlin regarding amount of material/Units to be covered during the next 7 weeks including preparation time (practice tests) for the AP Exam in early May.
Kaitlin worked on Unit 1 MCQ A test practice modules in Unit 1. She finished it independently within the time period, which is her first period. Kaitlin always arrives on or before the start of her class.
Economic Geography and FRQ Practice : Economic Geography terms and concepts such as plantation agriculture, maximum sustainable yield etc. Unit 3 Free Response questions.

During today's session on Economic Geography terms , Kaitlin was very attentive and followed the key terms and concepts very well. We are continuing to make steady progress with AP Test practice exercises within the College Board AP Human Geography FRQ and MCQ questions.

During today's session on ket terms and concepts in Chapter 8, Kaitlin was well focused and related very well to the agricultural systems of subsistence crop production and large-scale commercial agriculture. We also had an important discussion about her long-range goal for a college program of study in ?Computer Science and I informed her of prerequisite high school courses (Physics and Calculus etc) that could prepare her for pursuing that degree goal.
Economic Geography overview
We discussed the structure of the Human Geography AP exam and its two sections. We reviewed and noted that simply stated, economic geography is the study of how people earn their living, how livelihood systems vary from place to place, and how economic activities are spatially interrelated and linked. She explained the connection between physical geography and agricultural practices in general terms. Kaitlin additionally discussed her life goals of being a team principal for the McClaren Formula One team.
