I read, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle and completed the following activities:
1. She created the life cycle of the caterpillar using picture cards and construction paper, pasta, and beans.
2. We sang the days of the week song
3. Addition - Using the pasta and beans Penny added groups to create and give the sum of an addition problem.
Letter Recognition – Picking up a letter card, Penny had to name the letter and give its sound.
Sight Words – Penny read the words on her word ring.
Letter Formation – Penny practiced writing her first and last name.
Penny and I worked on painting the skin for her woman. I outlined areas that Penny needed to paint to ensure that important areas did not get covered up.
Penny and I looked up ideas for her painting. She decided she wanted to paint four different images of Wonder Woman. Worked on drawings but didn't quite get to painting. Practicing drawing what we see and coloring in the lines.

Penny worked with data by identifying different items within groupings of data. Penny also reviewed geometry with corners and sides. Penny reviewed the 100s chart.
Penny and I played an initial consonant alphabet scavenger hunt game. She picked a letter from a stack of letter cards. Once the card was selected she named it, gave its sound, then had to find either something that started with that letter or find the letter in the school library.We kept score and she had to count points.
Penny identified different shapes and sides and corners of objects in the school. Penny is able to explain why a circle does not have corners and sides. Penny practiced critical thinking skills with explaining why to questions about math.
Penny did great today at the piano. She was able to play the 5 finger positions prompted. She was also able to use the graph to find the correct note. Penny said she really enjoyed the piano and shows interest in learning it.
