We then delved into diagramming imperative sentences, discovereing the usage of the understood subject "you." We also discussed that the proper punctuation mark for a command sentence could be a period or an exclamation mark.
Today's lesson focused on Greek Meteora. Mercer reviewed material that details information about an incredible set of monasteries, each perched high atop Greek mountains in an area of extraordinary natural beauty called "Meteora," which literally means "suspended in the air." Mercer learned that the monasteries that sit on top of these rocks make up the second most important monastic community in Greece, after Mount Athos in Halkidiki. Out of the thirty monasteries that were founded throughout the centuries, only six of them are active today.

Lesson 2 Plate Tectonics – We learned that tectonic plates make up Earth’s lithosphere which contains the crust of the Earth and a small portion of the upper mantle. Plates are made up of oceanic lithosphere, continental lithosphere, or both. Continental lithosphere is thicker and less dense than oceanic lithosphere. The denser oceanic plate sinks into the mantle in the process of subduction which causes large earthquakes at the subduction zone. Volcanic mountains form on the overriding plate at these boundaries.
