Israelites
Lesson Outline
Today's session focused on Ancient Israel's history and culture. Mercer reviewed material that provided information about Israel's unique culture. He learned that although it is tiny, it was so unique in that it has had a more significant, more direct impact on world history than almost any other ancient civilization. Israelites can trace their descents to a nomadic clan chief called Abram, several centuries before, who had migrated to Canaan from Mesopotamia. Mercer spent the remainder of the class learning fun facts about flags and capitals in different countries and completing activities that time his progress identifying them.
