She took the thesis for the third paragraph and outlined the supporting details for the paragraph and listed examples that she could use to expand the examples cited. She wrote the extended paragraph and reread and edited it for grammar, specific diction, and vivid verbs and adjectives. She also researched for a quote that would aptly open the paragraph that would transition to her thesis.

Review Leading to The Jackson Era
Lesson Outline
Bella did not check for the HW I sent to her, so we made sure together that it was there in her school email account. She knows she must complete it over the weekend. We spend the majority of class reviewing content from last class. We have class again during third period, so we have time to cover a lot of material today. As the candidate for Democratic Republicans during the vicious presidential race in 1828, Andrew Jackson and his supporters favored states' rights and mistrusted strong central government. Election slogans, rallies, buttons, and rallies appeared and became a part of American political life. A veteran of many wars, a former general and congressman from TN, he gained fame during the War of 1812. He was also known for defeating many Native Americans in battle. Jackson's popularity with the common man changed Washington, D.C. We discussed the "spoils system" under Jackson. In the early 1800s,large numbers of Native Americans still resided in the eastern U.S. GA, AL, MS, & FL were home to the Cherokee, Creek, Seminole, Chickasaw and Choctaw peoples. These tribes had established farming societies with successful economies.
