Today, Bella and I read a commonlit.org story called, "The Guilty Party," by O. Henry. We read this as a pre-Othello book pairing to study the concept of character culpability. She answered the guiding questions as we read, and we discussed plot points and character development.
The Bill of Rights: The Constitution's First 10 Amendments
Lesson Outline
The Bill of Rights is one of the most important documents in history. The 3rd part of the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights is important because the Constitution never would have been signed without it. Not only did the Bill of Rights get the Constitution ratified, it guaranteed the rights of U.S. citizens in a way that had never been done before! The rights of U.S. citizens are still protected as much or more than anywhere else on Earth. We reviewed each of those original 10 amendments in class today.

Lesson Comments
Remote lesson again today. Bella said she caught a bug from Gwendolyn Morris over the weekend and that it's been "spreading through Oxbridge."
In today's class, Bella worked on some DNA assignments, covering the topics of DNA base pairing, replication, and structure. Bella did really well recalling the information we covered on DNA last week.
Bella was unable to join today due to illness, but she did a good job communicating with me regarding her homework and a practice test review we're working on.
In today's lesson, Bella learned about enzymes, including their shape, function and role in the human body and science. Bella really seemed to understand the topic well and answered all of our review questions with ease.
