The entire time I had him for our session, particularly in the spaces of time in which he refused activities, he sung "Ari is a little boy, Ari is a little boy, so juicy, so juicy little boy" on repeat. He refused my redirection attempts and refused to stop the song despite my indication that it was not appropriate. On any attempt I made, he told me I was rude and continued his song. I specifically took a very objective approach to redirection, so that he would not think that I was emotionally disturbed by his very clear attempt to bother me. It did not make a difference.
Tristan completed homework such as, language arts - finished reading the book, "Days with Frog and Toad". Excellent reading! Tristan also completed a word search, finding sight words; math - review of multiplication facts, solving fourteen problems.
Tristan and I began our session with a reminder of his science quiz tomorrow. We also discussed the three states of matter to prepare for our next lesson. Tristan then worked on the program, Math Prodigy, creating multiplication and division sentences using an image, identifying how many groups and how many objects are in each group.
