The plan was to introduce conjectures as they apply to geometry. I would explain the general nature of conjectures and their truth or falsity. I would remind her that only a single counterexample is necessary to disprove a conjecture. Unfortunately, Jaydn was not available for this lesson. There was no assignment.
We finished learning about mass spectrometers. We then started the last section of chapter 4, radioactivity. We talked about nuclear reactions and started learning about alpha radiation.

Jaydn had the webcam off today. We reviewed ASL parameters. I explained the importance of fingerspelling in appropriate hand space and location then fingerspelling activities resumed.
I demonstrated the different aspects of the definition of polygons for Jaydn. I showed her that line segments had to intersect exactly two other line segments at their endpoints and then we went over examples of why certain figures were not polygons. We completed several problems together to reinforce her understanding. There was no assignment.

Jaydn had the camera off today. We went over the ASL parameters and reviewed the movement, location, palm-orientation, facial expressions, and handshapes. Fingerspelling exercises will be resumed this week.
We talked through lab 1. I gave Jaydn the data she would have collected. We worked on manipulating the data and discussed what it tells us about the accuracy and precision of the measuring devices.
Jaydn wrote an abbreviated memoir of a segment of her life imitating the style of Jeannette Wall's. She then edited it for diction, punctuation, and grammar. She then read, discussed, and analyzed the next two chapters of Jeanette Wall's The Glass Castle.
