Sam was to take a coding quiz today.

He was absent.

Today, Cabo learned about the tags for creating hyperlinks and for linking images.

We discussed the tags. We also discussed other information that can be provided when the element is created.

Cabo modified existing code to create a link to the Batt School's website.

He also was asked comprehension questions regarding the characteristics of an image that was being sourced.

He did an excellent job completing the task at hand.

Sam was absent from online class today.

Cabo was tasked with reading a passage about computer attributes and doing the exercises included.

Cabo worked on one of the tutorials found in the Academy section of an app - the Bubble.io site. The site is a no-code platform that empowers entrepreneurs to build production-ready Web apps. Cabo verbally explained what the app accomplished, after which he took a short break and was to begin working on completing the hard version of this application with his next teacher.

Cabo had to generate from a blank page the coding required to make a basic webpage.

He first was allowed to view a sample set of code. He then had to use the elements specified in the directions to create a cohesive but basic website.

Cabo was given a review of some of the key tags from html that we have studied so far. He the had to complete a practice quiz wherein he was required to generate the code on his own rather than edit existing code.

It was good that we had this practice. It gave us an opportunity to clarify some of the points that will be on the quiz including the distinction between the head of the code and a heading in the body of the code.

Cabo finished with less than a minute to spare.

Sam was absent today.

Cabo was taught some of the fundamentals of HTML including its most basic elements and a brief history of the language.

He was quizzed as we read. After the first comprehension check-in he did well in responding with correct responses.

He was given a skills building practice quiz wherein he had to modify existing code to create a webpage.

He was able to complete each of the tasks except one. When asked about that specific task, he was able to self-correct.

Cabo engaged in some of the community building activities going on around the school.

He had little buddy in the vicinity of the festivities of one of the other student's birthday party. He let some of the teachers and students hold/pet little buddy.

He was picked up by his relatives and took them on a mini tour of the school. He showed them some of the projects that he has completed over the years such as his Eagle sculpture.
