Joshua and I are review for his Unit2A Test. Today we reviewed his Big 10 assignment he had over the weekend. He got about half correct. This assignment made me realize that Joshua has a block for learning exponential and logarithmic functions. Every time we discuss it, he refers to it as "hard", "impossible", "I hate those", etc. Which is surprising to me because, its not THAT hard. I know Joshua can handle it, so it seems he must not truly understand it. It makes me think he's never truly learned about logs/exponentials and it makes him feel intimidated. We got through the problems together and Joshua seemed to understand the mistakes he made. For homework, I gave him another review to help reiterate the skills we discussed today.

We continued Unit 1 and discussed Fed 21 and Supremacy. Joshua watched videos 1.6 and 1.7 on the AP Classroom website.

We reviewed 1.4 and 1.5 assigned questions and videos.

Joshua was absent today. I emailed him an activity to review logarithms and exponential functions. I told him to take care of his health first but if he wanted to get extra practice, he could work on those.

Lab demonstrations to indicate that a chemical reaction has occurred. The lab involved the production of a gas, and testing for that gas. It also involved formation of precipitates of various colors. The measurement of endothermic and exothermic reactions. The change in indicator color due to acid or base production due to a chemical reaction. The production of heat and light when some reactions occur.
