Lesson Outline
Libby learned how to place her fingers correctly on the keyboard and type the letters F, J, and the space bar. She was very focused and did a great job.
We logged in to typing.com and began with the introductory lesson. After identifying the various parts of a computer, Teddy began using his right pinkie for "enter". Then, he used his right thumb for the "spacebar". Next, he advanced to "j", "f", "r", and "u". He used those keystroke skills to advance through various activities.
We discussed how the hands should be placed on the keyboard and how to use specific fingers for each key. Teddy worked through a few rounds of Mario Teaches Typing. He worked on home row keys.
