Phillip continued to work on his one-point perspective project. He made his finishing touches to his beach side of the drawing. He then used the layers panel to move the window drawing layer above the beach layer. He then added a reflection to create a more 3D illusion. He then started to work on a skylight in the ceiling on his room. He used the vanishing points to create another smaller window and added a nighttime sky using the light pen tool.
Andrew worked in class on a drawing he started for his portfolio over break. He’s working in colored pencils and working on reducing streaks and blending.
Andrew continued to work on his sustained investigation work. He stopped working in his sketchbook and decided on recreate three different projects that he started in class and will work on for the rest of week and into next. He will need 5 total in his portfolio.
Andrew worked on finishing his sustained investigation sketches in his sketchbook. He then brainstormed ideas for the composition and what medium he will use going in to the new project.
Andrew continued to work on his sustained investigation project. He finished working on his figure sketches (3) and his hourglass sketches (4). In addition to this, we worked on how he would be engaging the background of this piece and his composition.
Andrew worked for both his classes on his sketches for sustained investigation. We worked on finding the right perspective of his figure from the sketches he did. He then started to work on a drawing of an hourglass that will be in the portrait. He will do the same thing for the hourglass that he did with the figure.
Andrew worked on his sustained investigation sketches. We found a reference image for the pose he wanted to do and worked on sketching the figure using cross contour lines like we did in Drawing 1. This helps with perspective and proportion. We will be working on a few different variations of the pose he chose and different perspectives and compositions.
Andrew worked on his sustained investigation work during class. He has to investigate the same imagery in multiple works inside of his concentration work samples. We went over the samples in the references on CollegeBoard of past students and their sustained investigation. For his second class, he started work in his sketchbook on the piece he chose.
