Today, PJ ran his fastest 4-lap run this year.
I believe if he keeps working hard he will surpass many of his yearly fitness goals.
After the run, for the rest of the period we worked out with the dumbbells.
Ben shared with me his project he has been working on. "The history of surgery".
We were able to discuss through a time table how surgery came to be.
We also discussed anesthesia and how this got started.
Ben shared with me several "Ted" videos that helped with the explanations.
Pj continues to work on his fitness goals for the year.
PJ has swim practice later in the afternoon, so we did some light exercises to warm up our bodies.
We then talked about what kind of things PJ does at swim practice.
Aiden and I continue to hone our skills in basketball.
We mainly are working on our dribbling skills.
The last part of the period we went up to the court and started working on shooting.
Today, Nico and I did a variety of different activities.
We started with some ping pong. We then did some beginner volleyball working on a bump and a set.
We actually were able to do some serving at the end of the period.
Today, David and I played Badminton and Whiffle Ball together.
We started the period with Badminton, which we played for the first part of the period and we finished with whiffle ball.
PJ started the class by doing a nice easy 4-lap jog on the perimeter of the field.
We came back to the pavilion and did an abdominal workout by doing 2 sets of 30 sit-ups.
We finished by doing some timed leg lifts.
Aiden and I continued to work on our skills for basketball.
We are still working on dribbling and ball handling.
We are working on dribbling around the legs and other areas.
Aiden and I worked the entire period on different basketball fundamentals.
We started with alternate hand dribbles
We then did some behind the back and between the leg dribbles.
We finished with speed dribbles with both hands focusing on ball control.
