Noelle worked on warming up her voice and body. We watched performance of live singing to observe good singing postures and techniques. Noelle practiced singing a Taylor Swift song.
Today, Noelle and I began with work on multiplication facts. She went through each group of facts, beginning with the ones and ending with the tens. As she worked, Noelle wrote the facts she struggled with on the whiteboard which were made into flashcards. We also focused on learning a 9s fact strategy which Noelle grasped quickly.
We worked on getting to know the styles of music Noelle is familiar with. We looked over different singers that Noelle is influenced by. We discussed goals. We went over vocal exercises. We practiced singing a song she is interested in working on.

Will you be asking me for a grade for this student? I'm not sure if this is an academic type vocal class. It seems intense to be two times a week for two hours.
In this activity, Noelle focused on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers. She also used theses basic operations with one-digit decimals.
In this activity, Noelle continued to work with percentages. The exercise had her solving word problems that involved evaluating percentages of various quantities.
In this activity, Noelle worked with percentages. Multiplication is the most difficult for Noelle because of her multiplication tables but she is showing consistent improvement. She focused on changing percentages to decimals and then completed the multiplication.
In this activity, Noelle focused on an exercise that added and subtracted large 6 and 4 digit numbers. These problems have helped Noelle develop a much improved number sense. She finished the session again multiplying 5 and 3-digit decimals. She is showing real progress.
