We played rudiments on the drum pad and worked on coordination on the drum kit.

This morning, Atticus took the unit assessment on percents. He answered questions on understanding percents, relating fractions, decimals, and percents, representing percents greater than 100 or less than 1, estimating percents, and using the formula to find the missing whole, part, or percent. Atticus rushed through the first 5 questions. He was asked to stop, take a second to regroup, and then start over. The second attempt was much better and he scored an 85%.

We played scrabble today.

Atticus completed a crossword puzzle for Chapter 14 on China. We reviewed all concepts learned in this chapter along with vocabulary words and their definitions. He will have a test on Monday.

Atticus learned about convection cells today. We discussed how air convection cells redistribute thermal energy throughout the globe. He read a passage about convection and observed a diagram. He answered the follow up questions.

I worked with Atticus to paint to the shoes and skin of the character in his painting.

Atticus created a timeline of China's History. He discussed the Shang Dynasty and the connection to the "Bronze Age," and the Zhou Dynasty and its connection to the "Golden Age."
