Cameron read an article about dust mites and the benefits of not making your bed. He answered comprehension questions pertaining to the article.

10-3 Analyzing Functions Graphically – We learned to relate the domain and range of a function to its graph. Then we analyzed the key features of the graph of a function to identify the type of function it represents. We explored the use of the key features of the graphs of functions. We used the domain, range, maximum and minimum values, axis of symmetry, and end behavior to identify and compare functions.

In today's class, we continued on our topic of anatomy and physiology. Cameron worked on a quiz that tests the remaining material we learned on the human body. This includes connective tissue, muscle tissue, nervous tissue, and the skeletal system.

Today we worked on pages 320 and 324 of the book. We started the last chapter about Latin American traditions.

10-2 The Cube Root Function – We learned to calculate and interpret the average rate of change of the cube root function over a specified interval. Then we modeled real-world situations using the cube root function.

Cameron completed all his work for today and tomorrow, so he started on Thursday's assignment. He read 2 reading passages on Reading Theory.org., then answered questions online pertaining to the stories.

Social media refers to any Internet website, smartphone application, or other modern technology that allows people to connect with one another and build online communities. The scope of this definition is vast, including groups of friends in the same city who create an online community or message board to coordinate activities better and groups of people who have never met face-to-face and are simply united due to common interests or common causes. Social media is incredibly flexible this way. In general, it allows its users to decide what the uses of its product should be. This is a huge part of why it has become so successful so quickly. Platforms are things like Instagram, FB, Twitter, and an example of a search engine is Google. We tracked a bit about the history of the internet and how its use began in the late 20th century. Social media is valuable for businesses, especially start-ups and newer businesses hoping to attract a wider and younger clientele. Marketing campaigns & social media-based contests are important events that can reach users and make them aware of a company. Most tech-savvy companies now hire employees - at times even entire departments - to manage their company's social media outreach accounts. Even governments now do this. The world has changed rapidly in a very short period of time.

Cameron got right to work when given his assignment. He completed two reading passages on Read Theory.org and wrote his score in on each passage for tracking purposes. He performed well on the assignments which were appropriately logged, in accordance with directives.

In today's class, we continued our topic of anatomy and physiology. Cameron worked on some activities that reinforce what he's learned so far on the skeletal system. For example, on one activity, he had to label the skeletal system and some of the major bones of the body. On another, he had to fill in a crossword puzzle using the skeletal system hints it provides.
