Topic 6 Exponents and Exponential Functions
Lesson Outline
6-3 Exponential Growth and Decay – We learned to construct exponential growth and decay functions given a description of a relationship. Then we recognized if a situation can be modeled with exponential growth or decay, and interpreted the parameters of the model in context. Next we became familiar with the terms compound interest, exponential growth, and growth factor.

"The Rest of the Story"
Lesson Outline
We watched the Dale Earnhardt Jr. interview which he really connected with. Tasked him with listening and quoting Dale on special, unique comments worthy of using in a story. Also evaluated how great answers occur: Very good questions ideally. Then onto the "Rest of the Story" We took his "Live Shot" from PGA Pine Island event and expand to 5W's, Present tense, after the conclusion of tournament. Cameron enjoyed and excelled at, attentive and engaged.

Lesson Comments
Cameron forgot his homework assignment for the 2nd consecutive session. Cameron is really enjoying this. He connects with the special engagement I have with him through common athletes mentality and what separates those who make it from those who do not. The same principles apply in athletics and life! (Nerves vs. Adrenaline ) Cameron really identified with Dale Earnhardt Jr. insights as son of star athlete. Will be interesting to see what his feature story is. I explained, like a great athlete, a great reporter must versatile. Cameron did a nice job delivering the 'Rest of the Story' with final facts. Now he must be versatile enough to see the story beyond the story at the PGA Tournament for his Feature Story. (I gave him example of who is the guy who introduces each player, their hometown, as each round begins)
