Finished A Long Way Gone (chapters 21-23); discuss/comprehension questions; discussed the dilemma of how peace must come about, made connections to the novel.
Topic 4 Systems of Linear Equations and Inequalities
Lesson Outline
4-4 Linear Inequalities in Two Variables – We practiced graphing solutions to linear inequalities in two variables. Then we practiced representing constraints with inequalities and interpreting solutions as viable or nonviable options in a modeling context.
In today’s class, we continued our discussion on cell structure and function, including talking all about the plant cell, which includes some things such as the cell wall, central vacuole and plastids. We also discussed unicellular and multicellular organisms.
Today I subbed for Cameron's business class. We viewed the beginning of an intro to business 101 video, took notes on the points, summarized, and discussed the points.
Topic 4 Systems of Linear Equations and Inequalities
Lesson Outline
4-4 Linear Inequalities in Two Variables – We learned that the graph of a linear inequality in two variables shows the solutions of the inequality as a half-plane above or below the boundary line. Then we learned that the boundary line is included in the solution when the inequality symbol is less than or equal to or greater than or equal to. The boundary line in an inequality is excluded when the inequality symbol is less than or greater than.

Phases of the French Revolution: Overview & Events
Lesson Outline
We continued to focus on the phases of the French Revolution. France was in a bad place by 1789. King Louis XVI desperately needed money, so he was forced to call the Estates General in May. The disgruntled Third Estate of commoners loudly shouted for a new constitution and formed the National Constituent Assembly. After the storming of the Bastille on July 14, the Assembly got its constitution with a limited monarchy and the Declaration of the Rights of Man. The Assembly, however, could not control the situation and was replaced by the Legislative Assembly in 1791. This group did no better, and the National Convention took the reins of government in 1792. The revolution entered a radical phase.....
