Completed Kapitel 12 review online questions in prep for quiz/test Thursday. Discussed TV system in Germany - advantages and disadvantages as compared with American tv programs.
Kapitel 13 - online questions 3-5 - fill in the blank vocabulary questions on news and media and computer work ie bloggen, schicken etc and grammar um zu constructions. Then watched two videos in German - one on Germans and their ideas about Canada and then the second on Germans and America. Short discussion to be continued Tuesday.
Discussed the five sentences in the past tense of what Joshua did on the weekend. Then Joshua completed his "Wanderlust" project on why Germans love the outdoors and travelling, and the historical and cultural role that hiking plays for them, and handed it in.

Discussed some geographical and cultural differences between Canada, USA and Germany. Then watched Meet the Germans West Germany and Joshua took notes of significant cultural factors.
Joshua worked on facts about West Germany, including key cities, where they are located, what they are known for, and points of interest. Joshua viewed YouTube videos to assist him in his research (The Germans Road Trip West). He worked independently and completed the assignment. Joshua noted that the area of South Germany is his favorite part of the country as he has already studied it and identified Bavaria in particular, as he enjoys its nature and quaint villages.
