We examined and labeled the various parts of a plant and discussed the different functions and processes such as photosynthesis. Liam then completed a crossword puzzle and matching exercise to integrate and consolidate gains. He was engaged in the activity and required minimal prompts to complete it.
Liam completed several activities about the ecosystem, learning about producers, consumers, decomposers, predators, and prey. We watched a Brain Pop video about ecosystems.
Liam was excited to return to reading "There's A Boy in the Girls' Bathroom this morning. He remembered where we had left off prior to the Thanksgiving holiday and we read Chapter 9 in the book. Liam demonstrated excellent recall regarding the characters and setting. We isolated specific sentences using imagery and figurative language and Liam was afforded strategies to facilitate his understanding and ability to synthesize information. It was nice to see him in such good and social spirits. Liam freely shared his experiences at Disney World in Orlando, where he enjoyed going on rides while on vacation there.
