Richard focused on writing his numbers 6-10. He used his phonics handwriting book to practice writing beginning and ending sounds.

Richard continues to practice the principals of handwriting; posture, pencil grip, position of paper, and placement. We combined a handwriting lesson with a lesson on phonics. He worked on learning to write numbers correctly.

We worked on making his writing easy to read. We focused on positioning his paper correctly, sitting up straight, pulling his strokes down in the correct direction, holding the pencil grip correctly, and shifting the paper as he writes.

Richard focused today on size, shaping, slant, and spacing.

In his handwriting lesson today, we focused on legibility and proper spacing. He continues to work on posture, pencil grip, holding the paper in position, and placement.

He worked on making sure short letters touch the middle line. He worked on making sure his letters with descenders go below the base line. He practiced these skills by writing sentences.

He worked on his 4 P's of printing- posture, pencil grip, placement, and holding the paper properly. He really worked on spatial organization. He is becoming more aware of the proper placement of each letter.

We worked on letters with vertical, horizontal, circle, and diagonal lines. We continue to practice the 4 p's of penmanship- posture, placement, pencil grip, and holding the paper correctly.
