We worked on pages 4-5 and 7 of his Language book. He followed the video and answered all the questions correctly. He did a really good job today.

We continued with the video for Jase's reading. I am encouraging him to read each word. We use a bookmark to keep him in the right place.

Jase did the next section of Language on the video and worked with sentences.

Jase finished reading the pages from yesterday. Then we viewed the video and participated with the teacher.

In today's lesson, Jase learned to identify the subject and the predicate of a sentence. He was able to apply what he learned by creating his own sentences and labeling them.

Jase participated with the video for the introduction of today's lesson. He read several pages of the book to me. I used a bookmark to help him keep his place. I told him to read slow enough to read all the words. We paused to clarify what was happening.

Jase showed me how his Abeka videos work. We watched the first lesson in reading and talked about how I will have him participate.

Today, I had the opportunity to get to know Jase a bit, and I must say, he's truly an exceptional young individual! He showed me the Abeka program and we discussed how it works. Tomorrow we will get started on the lessons.
