We met on Teams today. We chatted about the break and then got started. We covered 1.6 Solving Equations. We reviewed the order of operations, how to work with fractions in equations, and what happens when we do not reach a solution. We reached solutions such as zero, no solution, and infinite solutions. JPaul needed reminders to slow down. He made several errors as he worked through the problems, simply because he was going "too fast" and making mistakes he could have caught had he been more mindful each step.
J Paul completed an activity on present progressives - using the correct conjugation of estar plus the gerund form of each Spanish verb to complete the sentences. J Paul also completed an activity on infinitive forms - changing the infinitive form of the list of verbs in Spanish to their corresponding "ing" forms. For example: Run - Running; Correr - Corriendo.

I was a substitute from 9:00-9:45am for Ms. Kim - Spanish. Sub. plans were not provided. I looked at previous session summaries and printed out two activities.
Today, JPaul worked to finished the quiz he started yesterday. He worked diligently the entire period. After the quiz, we graded it. He got a 95%! The only error he made was not simplifying completely. Way to end the quarter!
Define and discuss the study of demography. Elicit the factors which influence population size; include birth rate, death rate, fertility rate, life expectancy, and immigration. Analyze why the birth rate by definition is misleading. Introduce the formula for determining the crude birth rate and the global population growth rate. Use a few examples to determine both.
