Libby learned how to place her fingers correctly on the keyboard and type the letters F, J, and the space bar. She was very focused and did a great job.

Lesson Outline
Libby completed her interactive calendar. She read, explained the story details, and retold the story in the correct order for the two stories, "Go! Pip" and "Flip." She read all her high frequency words. She worked on several reading comprehension activities.
We discussed the concept of gravity. We let a few things drop to the floor to show how gravity works on Earth. We viewed a Magic School Bus video that showed how the force of gravity works on a "planet". If the planet is larger in size, it will have a greater gravitational pull. If the planet is smaller in size, it will have less of a gravitational pull. Lastly, Libby drew a picture to represent a planet with and without gravitational pulls.
This morning, Libby completed the final adding 3 fast facts check, and earned the completion certificate. Then, she continued to work on the lesson on how to model taking apart. She drew counters to model problems and wrote the corresponding number sentences. Finally, Libby answered the lesson check question and spiral review problems.
This morning, our social studies lesson focused on rules and laws. We began with a video on why rules are important and what would happen if there were no rules. Then, we watched a second video on the similarities and differences between rules and laws, who creates each, and the consequences or punishments if they are broken. Then, Libby determined whether given statements were rules or laws, and she categorized the laws into groups based on whether they were made for safety, order, or equality.
