This morning, Libby and I gathered materials, took down wall references, and placed completed work into a binder to send home. Then, Libby continued to answer questions from the 1st grade readiness assessment.

Libby had a blast with this recipe! She was very interested in each step and did a great job measuring ingredients and following the recipe. She particularly enjoyed making the frosting and was very curious to see how it would turn out. We did end up running low on time so we had to very quickly pull out the cake and decorate it as best we could. Libby did a great job spreading the icing and making a smiley face out of raspberries!
Libby completed her interactive calendar and helped take everything off of the bulletin board. She worked on her phonics activities finished her calendar talk and calendar writing, put together her daily sentence puzzle, and helped put together her science projects to take home.
I began visual and auditory exercises. Libby only missed one letter sound! We will focus on the letter 'y' in the next session. Libby blended CVC words ending in -ad and -ack with no errors. For spelling, I dictated five CVC words and one sentence. Libby is spacing her words properly when prompted, using her OT "space girl" tool. We reviewed her irregular word list. Libby read one decodable reader. To conclude, I read aloud from Kate DiCamillo's book, "Eugenia Lincoln and the Unexpected Package." We summarized, made predictions, discussed the characters, and colored the illustrations.
Today, Libby and Teddy played basketball and badminton.
We worked on our ball-handling skills in basketball and we worked on different hits in badminton.
