Teddy finished decorating his jewelry box today. He also built a little figurine and a house for it out of extra clay. I was very happy to see that he made his figurine using cube shapes because we had previously discussed how to turn a ball of clay into a cube and it really demonstrated his understanding. Unfortunately, we only had time to complete half of the box but he was content with the final product. He had some free time at the end of class and chose to play on Poki games for the last 5 minutes. He was upbeat and respectful throughout the session.
Teddy named, and sang, his two favorite songs "Mama's Said Knock You Out" (LL Cool J) and "Sweet Dreams." We looked them up and listened to the first on YouTube as he could not remember the lyrics or melody to "Sweet Dreams, my guess that it was the well-known song by the Eurythmics was incorrect. When I played it, Teddy sang some the lyrics, primarily the refrain, and when I questioned him on how he knows it, he replied that his mother plays it for him, "how else would I know it?" I wished Teddy a great summer and he politely thanked me for the punch balloons I gave him and Libby.

I was asked to sub for Kevin this afternoon, 5-23-25, from 1:23 - 2:08.
Teddy and I had a 'Fun Day' on the last day of school. He chose to play the picture guessing game Hedbanz with Ms. Dorothy, Alexandra, and me, and then play Poki games on the computer. Teddy had a wonderful school year, and I have loved being his teacher. Enjoy your summer.
Teddy completed his calendar talk and calendar writing activity, he put together his daily sentence puzzle, and he read and discussed his Scholastic News Science Magazine about the bald eagle.
Teddy requested the Lego and Robocubelets as our last class activity. He actually enjoyed creating interesting houses and people with the Legos instead of the robotics.
