We began today's session by reactivating prior information about geography and map skills and began working on a map activity sheet. To help Luke with his penmanship, I introduced him to a penmanship book and modeled his name, using upper and lower case letters. Luke then wrote his first and last name effectively, requiring minimal prompts to help him with the lower case k and p.

Once Luke focused, he was engaged in the Bingo game and could read all but one of the sight words on his board. Once the game ended, he became unfocused, so I created a map challenge. He found a push pin and destroyed a cup he got in the teacher room which he went to without permission.

I am continuing to remove objects that are causing a distraction. As mentioned before, Luke would greatly benefit from the assistance of an ABA 2-3 times per week (half-day). Teachers would also benefit from consistent responses that could be implemented across the board.
Luke completed his interactive calendar, He read and discussed his vocabulary words. We reviewed the process of pollination, and he worked on an experiment demonstrating the process of pollination using jello powder as pollen.
