We looked at states by identifying their capital city, other large cities, what they provide for the rest of the country, and other items they are known for.
Jackson is learning about what a region is and about the 5 different regions of the United States. He made a map of the United Stated identifying the different regions.
Jackson learned that the Earth is organized in regions. He learned that a region is an area with common features. The U.S. is often divided into 5 regions. We focused on the physical and human features of these 5 regions.
We will compare two maps of Florida, one showing population density by county and the other showing land use. We will discuss how land is used in dense population area compared to its use in less populated areas.
