Lesson Outline
We blended some mindfulness and breathing exercises with makeshift archery.
We did an exercise with a jar of water and food coloring to visually represent how our calm, clear brain is affected by all of our different emotions (colors). Then we went outside, practiced mindful walking and some more breathing exercises from the "Breathe like a Bear" book.
The remainder of the time was spent playing with a "fishing spear" he created with a wooden stick and rubber band. We practiced distance shooting which was a lot of fun on our last day together.
