Lesson Outline
We continue to work on reading and spelling long and short, one-syllable words. With encouragement, Dylan read a story that utilized short vowel sound words and sight words. In his journal, he wrote about where he would like to be mailed if he was 'Flat Stanley'. He enjoyed listening to an adventure 'Flat Stanley' took to Mount Rushmore.

Dylan was quite distracted by itching. Using a timer seemed to help him focus on the task at hand. He is very quick to say that he cannot do something. Encouragement is often needed for him to attempt a task he lacks confidence in.
