It was my pleasure to meet GT today! First we made our introductions and told each other a little about ourselves before going over the syllabus. I gave him a hard copy of his vocab, but also sent links to the lists on quizlet, so I had GT set up a quizlet account and showed him how to use it to study the vocab. We then had a discussion about what science is, the difference between observation and inference, the limits of human observation (especially the tricks our brains can play on us!) and the methods and safeguards scientists use to help overcome these limitations.
