During today's sessions, we reviewed Olivia's first draft of her college essay/personal statement , and then revised and restructured the personal statement to clarify organization , sentence structure and language. We constructed an interest -getting opening sentence and concluded the essay by referencing particular aspects of Stetson College that complement Olivia's interests and academic talents. We then discussed using a test response essay on" Daisy Miller" as the second essay for UCF. As we had addressed appropriate revisions for this essay last week, Olivia is going make those revisions tonight, and we will finalize them in tomorrow's session.
