We delved deeper into integration of rational expression wherein we could apply logarithmic techniques. We worked through two major problems--one of which we performed polynomial long division in order to manipulate the function into a form in which we could use logarithmic integration techniques and another in which we used a change of variables to achieve the same end.

Jess was somewhat whipsawed by the second problem which I had to rush through because of time constraints. I promised her I'd go back and go through it at a slower pace on Monday. It was a challenging problem and I no doubt did her a disservice by rushing through it. We'll try to recover on Monday. Meantime, she's showing in Culpeper, VA this weekend. Memories!
